We are accepting submissions for Volume 3 of Soft Times Quarterly. The theme for Volume 3 is "Magic." This theme is open to interpretation, and can range from the literal representation of magic, or a more abstract idea of mystique, wonder, enchantment, etc.
The following formats are accepted:
- Art
- Poetry and other creative writing
- Zine spread / graphic novel section
- Proposals for interview/feature piece
About Soft Times Quarterly
Soft Times Quarterly is a publication cataloguing Soft Times exhibitions, showcasing emerging contemporary artists and creatives in Soft Times' network, and celebrating what's to come in Soft Times' orbit. As a quarterly publication, a new volume is published every 3 months.
Soft Times Quarterly is printed in color in a softcover, 6x9" book.
Submission Details
We are accepting submissions for Volume 3 of Soft Times Quarterly. The theme for Volume 3 is "Magic." This theme is open to interpretation, and can range from the literal representation of magic, or a more abstract idea of mystique, wonder, enchantment, etc.
The following formats are accepted:
- Art
- Poetry and other creative writing
- Zine spread / graphic novel section
- Proposals for interview/feature piece
Submissions are not required to be new works, or exclusive to Soft Times Quarterly. Excerpts from broader projects are also accepted.
All submissions will be considered, and there are no submission fees. Priority will go to:
- Artists residing in the SF Bay Area
- Content that is on theme
- Content that is vibrant/colorful, aligned to the type of work that Soft Times Gallery typically showcases
- Artists that represent marginalized communities
This is an OPEN CALL/SUBMISSION form, which means:
- Completion of this form does not guarantee your acceptance into the publication.
- Submissions will close on the following deadline: June 23rd, 2022 at 11:59PM PT.
